Born and raised in Montreal and Laval, Robert Libman is an architect by profession and has served the community at both the provincial and municipal levels. Robert is a former MNA, Mayor, City Councillor and member of the Montreal Executive Committee. Married to Joanne Shapiro, he is the proud father of three sons and is an avid sports enthusiast.

Robert has always stood up and fought for our rights. He’s an architect who has also worked as a City planning consultant for the past 10 years. He has sat on the City of Montreal Executive Committee, responsible for Urban Planning and the City’s Urban Master Plan. He was also named to the Montreal Metropolitan Regional Commission and its Planning Committee. His experience at multiple levels of government, his expertise and competence in running our City, is unmatched.

Robert has decided to run for Mayor of Cote Saint-Luc, a position he previously held for two terms. He has also served as our Member of the Quebec National Assembly (MNA) for D’Arcy McGee which includes Côte Saint-Luc, as does the federal riding of Mount-Royal which he ran for as the Conservative candidate in the last federal election. In that election he won the Côte Saint-Luc portion of the riding by a significant margin.
